Hair Care Freebies

August 31st, 2010 productsamplesauthor No comments

When people hear the word “free” they often question “what’s the catch?” Let’s face it; everyone loves to get something for nothing. Beauty products, more specifically hair care, skin care, and feminine products, are one of the biggest freebies out there. For example, Aveeno has a new shampoo and conditioner they are coming out with and are giving away free samples. It’s called Aveeno+ hair care collections. It helps shine and moisturize your hair back to health. This sample really is free and all you have to do is get on the Internet and type Aveeno free sample in the search bar and answer their survey that takes less than three minutes to complete. At the end of their survey it will tell you to wait four to six weeks for your sample to arrive. This is how simple it is to find freebies for hair care products!

Several brand name beauty businesses are coming out with new products pretty much every day. Because of this, they will offer free samples to potential customers in exchange for filling out a survey. Typically these types of surveys are asking what type of hair or skin you have and will send you samples according to your answers to the questions. This makes it even better for you as you are getting the product you need.

Aveda has a Caribbean therapy body cream sample when you sign up for their birthday membership. It is free to join and you just provide the basic information like your email and address so they can email you coupons and mail you samples. This product can be used in your hair before blow drying it to give a little extra moisturized outcome. Since a lot of damaged hair is a result of blow drying, dying, and using flat irons on your hair this product helps restore it to its natural condition. There is no survey or special affiliate programs to fill out all you do is provide your information and you instantly get a free coupon to redeem your free sample at a participating salon or retail shop. You will also receive an extra coupon to get another free sample so you can basically get two free samples of the same product.

Dove also has a hair conditioner called Dove daily which you will be asked to complete a survey based on what Dove products you have used and be asked if you want special offers from them sent to you. I would suggest saying yes; this will lead to them mailing more free stuff and coupons. This is completely free and all you have to do is answer a quick survey and provide your contact information and where to mail your samples to. It’s limited to one per household and you must be at least eight-teen to apply for this offer. After you have completed this it may take up to eight weeks to receive your sample in the mail. However you will start to receive free coupons in your email after you sign up for their offer.

Getting Free Stuf

Freebies have been available long before the Internet became a global phenomenon that it is and a question often asked is: “Where can I go to obtain freebies? The great thing about this is that you can access freebies not just online through company’s websites, or specialized freebie websites like FreeStuff4Free.com or Shop4Freebies, but you can still access freebies the traditional way…..by asking! The following is a guide to some of the places you can go to satisfy that insatiable appetite for free stuff.

Contact companies direct – Aside from accessing the company’s website, it is often quicker and obviously more difficult for them to ignore if you contact them by phone. But by expressing interest in their product, you are more than likely to receive a free sample if you ask. Companies are willing to oblige because even though it costs them time and money in posting out the free sample, even if a small percentage of consumers were to switch brands to theirs, it has been worth their while.

Freebies in the newspaper – You can pick up free stuff from the papers. Though technically not free as you have to purchase the paper, many people purchase the paper without thinking about maximizing the value from their purchase. If you receive a free CD or DVD or manage to obtain some money saving coupons, then your purchase of the paper has well been worth it. Often the Sunday paper gives out an old movie on DVD, so it’s in your best interest to pay particular attention to the weekend editions.

Supermarkets – Supermarkets regularly offer free samples to consumers. You’ll often see staff offering free samples at a stand. Don’t be shy, head on over to the counter and get tasting. I do all the time, quenching my hunger and not having to eat a meal!

Hairdresser – Ever thought about getting a free haircut? I know for many women, it would be unheard of, allowing a complete stranger do their hair. So this one might more for the blokes. Get in touch with your local hairdressing college class. As part of their course requirements are to cut hair, they are often out looking for individuals to practice their wares on. If you are willing to risk a slightly less than perfect haircut, you’ll be able to save quite a lot of cash.

Enter competitions – Participating in competitions is an excellent way to obtain free stuff. Whilst the big ticket items are next to impossible to win, the complimentary prizes are there to be won. The more often you enter, the greater chance you are to receive free stuff.

So hopefully this article has been helpful in guiding you towards more freebies whether it be online or when you’re out doing your shopping. Freebies are out there.

What’s Important In Life – Balance

Being in the “game” of freebies, free stuff and saving money online for the past two years, I have spent countless hours on the Net, updating websites and searching for new freebies, trying to build traffic and optimize my site for Google. Taking some time to reflect recently, a stark truth and realization hit me. For the amount of time I was spending on the website, was I achieving what I was meant to be doing with the website?

The critical question that needed to be answered, why am I running a website? When I sat down and thought deeply about this, I knew I was in this to make a side income and whilst that does not make my intentions any less noble I found myself realizing that I was spending more time working on the website, basically doubling my time working on top of a 9-5 day job. The notion behind starting a site was so I could be financially independent and spend more time with my family was now becoming a distant reality.

It is so easy to get caught up with “doing” things, sending emails, developing advertisement, communicating with other webmasters which takes time, but what is really important in life? In the bible in Ecclesiastes, it states that there is a time for everything under the sun and I truly believe that. Whether or not you believe in God, there is a fundamental truth and principle that we can all take into account living our lives. We need to be still and reflect and not be on the go all the time.

To live without relationships is not living at all. Money is not the be all and end all of everything. Of course I would dearly love more people to visit my site, but if it’s at the cost of my relationship with my family and friends then I gain nothing. In fact I go into negative and I am worse off for it. When I take time to reflect, I have my health, able to pay for an education, able to purchase health care which is more than the majority of Americans and indeed of the world. So I am definitely more blessed and must take that into consideration.

My encouragement to you today is that saving money, being thrifty and getting things for free is great fun, but if it takes up more time than it should and replaces the relationships that need developing, then switch off the computer and spend some real quality time with the ones you love.
